Two men, Simon Peers, a textile designer and researcher and Nicholas Godley, an entrepreneur, took on a project to create artistic textiles made out of spider silk. Living in Madagascar, they worked with a silk factory to collect, spin and weave the fiber. Their work spanned over eight years and culminated in a magnificent shawl and extravagant cape, now on display at London's Victoria & Albert Museum.
