Great program to get kids (and everyone) involved with recycling.

Mary Farrell - Monday, March 12, 2012

As a holistically eco and sustainable company, Cherub's Blanket considers the lifecycle of everything we do.  From composting in the lunchroom, to reusing packaging in our shipping area, to donating scraps of fabric, we are big on reusing, recycling and upscaling.  That's why when we came across TerraCycle, we took a minute to read about their program.

TerraCycle's purpose is to eliminate the idea of waste. They do this by creating national recycling systems for previously non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle waste. Anyone can sign up for these programs, called the Brigades.  There are Brigades for many different waste streams ranging from candy wrappers to pens. While some brigades have a cost, many are free.  And for every unit of waste you send in and at least $0.02 can go to a charity or school of your choice.
