Solar is such an abundant and clean energy source, but it's been so hard to efficiently collect.  Finally, the technology has been developed to break the 30%  mark.  Solar cell maker Semprius has done it using a combination of lenses to intensify the light, and super sensitive solar panels.  Although it may take a while for these panels to trickle down to Home Depot level for all of us, it's still great news.
