The Cleveland Film Festival rocks

Cleveland has a ton to offer, and I am so lucky to live here.  Right now in mid-March, before spring even arrives, we have an abundance of fresh maple syrup, crocuses popping up, sunrise at 7:30am, and the Cleveland International Film Festival.  Every year, the event brings in selection of diverse, creative and enriching movies.  There are so many great films to choose from that it can be a little overwhelming.  This year, my strategy was to focus on the sidebar category, "It's Easy Being Green"- documentaries on the world environmental situation.  There are seven in the group, addressing issues such as the negative effects of hydroelectric dams, to the immense power struggle to create a windfarm off the coast of Martha's Vineyard.  But, the one that caught my attention was Bidder 70.  Here's a summary:  Read more...
